My WHY side

Updated: Dec 30, 2022

I was born asking WHY. Always curious and eager to experience different things, meet new people, and go to new places. I often asked my parents too many questions, like, “why can’t I feed myself? I got this!”.

With every question came action. Growing up with an independent & creative mindset, I was always quick to act whenever I saw a problem. For example, when I asked, “why are there so many kids on the street?” I decided to run a “barbie renovation” fundraising program, orchestrating everything with my team (aka best friends) from my bedroom office. A few days later, we delivered supplies and toys to shelters for needy kids.

As we moved from Brazil, my home country, to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela, my WHYs only expanded to new horizons. With every move came new learnings and understanding of the diverse mindsets and people.

Today, my WHY mindset helps me empathize with a broader range of people and genuinely understand my teams and clients daily. I am fearless in front of a problem – I crave being pushed outside my comfort zone. I believe that by asking WHY we can help our teams step closer outside their comfort zone- that’s where the magic happens. We are unstoppable when we ask why together and when we are open to change.

Encouraging people to share their WHYs is motivating and inspiring to me. It’s my personal tool for building successful, productive, and happy teams. Experience Strategy aims to solve every WHY, at every moment, for everyone – and that’s why I love what I do! Advertising just doesn’t make sense if there is no Experience Strategy driving it.

To solve complex problems, we must collaborate, think deeper, laugh harder, and step outside our comfort zones to see the big picture. That’s where we’ll find the answers we need!

And I thrive in partnering with cross-functional teams to make it happen!
